ESP Composites

Structural FEA, LLC has developed two practical finite element analysis programs. 1D Elements© uses one-dimensional elements (beams, rods, springs) in 2D space. The PlateMesh© program determines the Eigenvalue for a rectangular plate. In addition, the HoleMesh© program is currently in development.

Structural FEA, LLC is founded by Brian Esp, Ph.D., P.E. He is familiar with various aspects of finite element analysis and the practical/proper implementation of FEA. His knowledge base includes both linear and nonlinear analysis including nonlinear geometry, nonlinear materials, and contact. He has extensive experience with Eigenvalue buckling and natural frequency analyses and correlating FEA results to tested structures.

Dr. Esp has is also the owner of ESP Composites, LLC, where he developed additional finite element programs and an analysis book for composites. For more information about the book, click the image below.

Brian also oversees the MYSTRAN project, which is an open source finite element solver similar to NASTRAN.
